Young adult sports hip surgery: Including treatment of hip impingement by hip arthroscopy.
Treatment for Adult hip dysplasia.
Mr Sanjeev Patil is a full time Orthopaedic Consultant at Southern General Hospital, Glasgow and also consults at BMI Ross Hall Hospital, Glasgow.
He completed his higher surgical training from the West of Scotland Training programme, Glasgow, UK. He undertook a fellowship in Adult reconstruction at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada and has been a Travelling fellow at the Mayo clinic, Rochester and Rush Hospital, Chicago.
He has undertaken further training in Young adult hip surgery at San Diego, USA; Homburg, Germany; Vail, Colarado, USA and Aarhus, Denmark. He has also been a joint American-British Hip Society Travelling Fellow.
His clinical practice includes all aspects of hip surgery including conservative hip procedures (Ganz osteotomy, Hip arthroscopy etc), primary and revision hip arthroplasty procedures. He has set up a Tertiary “Young Adult Hip service” in Glasgow. He has jointly set up a nationally recognised “Clinical fellowship in Adult Lower Limb Reconstruction” in Glasgow.
He has been Joint American Hip Society-British Hip Society Fellow in 2009. Recently he has been awarded the prestigious American British Canadian (ABC) Travelling Fellowship for the year 2014.
